We Raise a Dram

Safely Moored in Campbeltown Marina, Yesterday Evening Sunshine

The Rapport temperature measurement system is quite simple:  If you can see your breath, then it’s cold.  Above about 10 deg C, it doesn’t condense any more.  Last night it was cold again and today not much better.

By breakfast time the boat was heeling to the strong gusts, above gale force.  So lovely to be in a marina!  After lunch the heavy rain arrived, the wind howling in the rigging.

So, what to do in such weather?  After all, we might need to get used to this: Scotland is not always dry and sunny.  The obvious answer seemed to be a visit to one of the local whisky distilleries.  To be on the safe side, Rosie booked us in to see two distilleries, one after the other (same owner, not as bad as it sounds).

And now, back on the boat, the whisky wearing off, I type with numb hands and the rain lashes down as the cold front comes through.  At least the wind seems to have reduced!
