Genteel Beer and Chips

Another day when sun cream was strongly advised, so we slapped it on again.

Skye Bridge and Old Lighthouse
Once clear of the Skye bridge, we managed to sail, in light and variable winds, the short distance around the corner to Plockton.  This village is very pretty, neat, tidy, and somewhat reminiscent of a fully managed project, which it originally was, back in 1801.  Well tended cottages, many holiday homes, line the front and palm trees add to the slightly strange picture-box effect.  In spite of this, it is a friendly place, welcoming we visitors.

Plockton
Once again we made the minor mistake of beer followed by fish and chips.  All very delicious at first, and then, by the end, a bit greasy.

Back on board, we watched England beat the dirty, cheating Columbians in a “football” match, which was emotionally quite exhausting (unless it was the hot sun earlier)!  Of course I’m not biased.
